Child and Parent Centre - East Waikiki

------ Building 1The Centre provides family-friendly facilities catering for the needs of parents and carers of children from 08 years living in the communities of Cooloongup and Rockingham.

The Centre offers programs and services to support you and your children, helping them to develop and learn during their early years.  The services of a Child Health Nurse and Occupational Speech Therapist are also available at the Centre.

Aboriginal “Yarn, stay ‘n’ play” Group

Monday, 9:30am11am
Aboriginal group to meet and have a yarn over a cuppa and play with the children.

Primary Immunisation Clinic

Monday, 9:30am2:30pm (alternate weeks)
Fortnightly immunisation clinic for age groups: 6 to 8 weeks; 4, 6, 12 and 18 months as well as 3½ to 4 year olds. RING 9419 2206 for appointments.

Department of Health “Circle of Security”

Monday, 12:30pm2:30pm
This 6-week program focuses on how parent/child relationships can be strengthened, teaches parents (and those helping them) new ways to understand children’s needs and behaviour. See flyer

Mingling Multi-Mums Group

Parent-led group for parents with twins and multiples.

Meet, Play and Connect for Families

Tuesday, 1pm2:30pm
Fun activities for parents, grandparents and carers with children 0 to 4 years.

Giggle, Wiggle 'n' Move!

Wednesday, 9:30am11am
A fun movement program with songs, stories and games helping children and parents to become aware of their bodies, muscle strength, coordination and concentration. Suited to “young walkers” up to age 4 years.

From Playgroup to Kindergarten

Wednesday, 1pm2:30pm
The playgroup is for children starting Kindergarten in 2018 at East Waikiki, Cooloongup, Waikiki, Charthouse and South Coast Baptist College primary schools. The aim is to prepare children and parents with the transition to classroom and the school community.

Little Steps Playgroup

Thursday, 9:30am11:30am
A parent-led playgroup for families of children aged 3 starting Kindergarten in 2018. 

Babies, Music and Movement

Thursday, 1pm2pm
For parents with babies 014 months.

Cultural Playgroups

Chinese  Thursday, 2:304pmGerman  Friday, 9:30am11:30am
Come along to meet other migrants, share German/Chinese culture, speak/practice your German/Chinese language skills and share activities such as cooking, singing, craft and outdoor play with your children. It's also a great way to make new friends.

Community Playgroup

Friday, 12:30pm2:30pm
Parent-led community “open” playgroup for parents, grandparents and carers with children 0 to 4 years. New members welcome.
