Noranda Family Centre
Ngala manages the Noranda Family
Centre facility which is available for the community in Noranda and
surrounding suburbs. This great facility is available for
hire and is a great venue for children's parties from 1 - 12 years
as the facilities include a recently upgraded outdoor
playground. The Liaison Officer for the Noranda Family Centre
can be contacted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
between 9:00am and 1:00pm on 9368 9325 or via email noranda@ngala.com.au in this
regard.
There are many activities run by different agencies and organisations occurring at the Noranda Family Centre. Ngala runs Ngala Parenting and Play Time and Consultations. Ngala also has numerous books and videos on sleep and play which are available for purchase or hire.
Ngala Parenting and Play Time is run at the Noranda Family Centre on Monday mornings between 09.30 and 11.30 am. The Parenting and Play Time provides weekly opportunities for families to discuss and share their early parenting ideas and concerns, learn about child development and learn about other helpful resources in their community. The Parenting and Play Time sessions are facilitated by trained professionals and all families are welcome. Families are asked to bring a piece of fruit with them so that their children can enjoy a healthy snack in a social setting. Where possible and at the request of adults attending Parenting and Play Time, guest speakers are invited to address the sessions
