Our Philosophy
Ngala Early Learning and Development Service aims
to provide a warm, safe, caring and friendly environment for all
who come to our Service, whether they are visitors or children and
families who attend on a regular basis.
We aim to provide quality care for our children, which will meet the needs of both parents/guardians and children.
Parents/guardians: by giving them peace of mind that their child’s individual needs will be met through the program of the Service by caring, trusting and professional educators.
Children: by recognising each child as being unique, fostering for her/his all round interests, learning and development so that she/he reaches their full potential in all areas of growth.
We believe in the inherent rights of all children, regardless of creed, culture, gender or abilities, to achieve a positive self concept, respect and care for each other, the environment, adults and the Service.
Our philosophy reflects the mission of One Ngala, which focuses on the family. Therefore, we aim to support and include the family in all its variation. We value interactions with parents/guardians and wish to extend participation in all Service activities.
At Ngala Early Learning and Development Service we follow an anti-bias approach. We believe that each child should be regarded as an individual and every child’s needs will be given equal attention to enable them to reach her/his full potential in all areas of growth. In order to achieve these aims for our children, our curriculum planning will reflect a positive approach. We will provide multi-cultural programs which value the diversity between families and their lifestyles in an open, positive and non-threatening way. This is achieved on a continual basis and incorporated into everything we do.
We will provide an atmosphere which will improve the multicultural aspect of the Service by utlising play equipment, resources from external agencies, educators from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds and families from a range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, along with any other useful resources which will promote a greater understanding of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
