Farewell to our Patron Mrs Julie Michael image

The Friends of Ngala feel very privileged to have been associated with Julie Michael, our Patron, during the past four years whilst her husband, Dr Ken Michael AC served as Governor of Western Australia.

Dr & Mrs Michael have served this State and its people with distinction and dignity. It is with deep gratitude that the Friends of Ngala farewell Julie and Ken and wish them well for the next phase in their lives.

Julie’s warmth and empathy for the work of Ngala touched us all. Her enthusiasm and support of the work done for children and families struck a chord with this loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed in her role as Patron and we thank her for her generosity to Ngala and especially her support in facilitating the use of the Government House Ballroom for our Gala Dinner to celebrate 120 years of service by Ngala to WA’s children and families. Her final act of generosity was to gift her private collection of toys to Ngala for the children we serve. Thank you, Julie, and our wish for you is good health in the years ahead so that you can now devote your precious time to your own family and children.

Our farewell luncheon at Parliament House provided the members of the Committee of the Friends of Ngala with a lovely opportunity to say thank you and God Bless.
