Ngala Life Membership Awarded to Russell Hawkins

Posted on: Fri 10 June 2011

Today at the Friends of Ngala fundraising luncheon at the Royal Perth Yacht Club, the President of the Friends of Ngala, the Hon. Barbara Scott presented a Ngala Life Membership to recently retired Chairperson of the Board, Russell Hawkins from Qube Property, Nedlands.

This award to Mr Hawkins recognises his 25 years of outstanding service to Ngala, Western Australia’s oldest charitable organisation.

In presenting this prestigious award Barbara Scott said, “Russell’s dedication and commitment to Ngala over the years has been extraordinary.  He was instrumental in developing a retirement village on land adjacent to Ngala.  His vision and purpose in doing so was to give some security to Ngala for the work done for parents and children by Ngala.”

The Friends of Ngala and t he Board of Management work as volunteers to raise funds and support Ngala’s work providing and promoting a range of services and programs that help families develop resilience and life skills to enjoy an independent and fulfilling family life.

Ngala supports over 40,000 families each year through its holistic service approach.  It is Western Australia’s leading not-for-profit provider of early parenting services for families with children between 0-6 years. Today’s luncheon raised much needed funds for Ngala, enabling the organisation to touch the lives of even more Western Australian families.
