Ngala Partners with CRCs to Enhance Regional Services
Posted on: Mon 29 March 2010
From 1 February 2010 Ngala will be working in partnership with a number of regional Community Resource Centres (CRCs and formerly known as Telecentres) throughout regional Western Australia. The aim of working with these centres is to extend Ngala’s services to families in rural and remote areas.
CRCs are often the central communication hub in regional communities and therefore are a great way to connect with young families in the area. As part of these link agreements Ngala has distributed a range of parenting resources (including a range of Parenting Tip Sheets) to each of the participating centres that are being displayed and distributed to parents in the area. These agreements also include the ability for parents to access some of Ngala’s online services free of charge through the centre’s computer and internet facilities. Using these resources and the CRC’s computer facilities, families living in regional areas will have greater access to our early parenting information and online services. Each centre has also been sent a webcam, so families can access our new webcam consultation service. More about webcam consultations.
Agreements with CRCs have been set up with centres in:
- Bidyadanga
- Billiluna
- Coorow
