Ngala Shopping Day at Garden City

Ngala were very fortunate to have been selected as the nominated charity for the Garden City Shopping Centre Sunday Trading day on Sunday 18 October.  The centre secured Hi-5 as their feature show for the day which proved to be an incredible draw card for families with young children.  The centre had over 50,000 to the centre on the day and many of them were there for the midday Hi-5 show which made for a very excited crowd.

Ngala were there with a team of volunteers rattling tins to raise money for Ngala – which is the first time Ngala have raised money in this way and we raised almost $2,200 on the day.  There were further contributions from the shopping centre through a number of other fund raising activities and it was a great success.  Many thanks to those who volunteered their time on the Sunday to come and rattle tins for us.

It was also a great way to make contact with families out in the community with our Ngala stand in the centre of the centre promoting Ngala and it’s services to families.
