Ngala Shopping Day at Ocean Keys

Ocean Keys Shopping Centre opened its doors on Sunday 15 November in support of Ngala.  We were very lucky to have once again been selected by the centre's management as the beneficiaries of the day’s trading.  From early on in the day, there was a real buzz in the air.  The centre had arranged a Christmas parade to mark Santa’s first appearance for the year and the kids were all very excited to meet the man in red!  Ben10 was also there to meet and greet his many young admirers and proved to be a real crowd-favourite.  It was a very fun, family-oriented day of entertainment and the good feeling was reflected in people’s generosity.

Ngala was there with a team of tin-rattlers who very kindly gave up some of their time to help the organisation raise money.  We were very successful with our fundraising, achieving a fantastic result thanks to the support of the community.  Many of the people making contributions had really nice stories to tell about their Ngala experiences and many more said they knew of the good work we do in the community. 

Many thanks to all those who came along and to those who volunteered.  You all contributed in making the day a great success.
