Jill Curnow, who joined the committee of the Friends of Ngala in 2004, stood down at the Annual General Meeting on November 17th 2016 after giving 13 years of extraordinary service to Ngala.

Jill was a Director and Vice-President of the Friends of Ngala for four years.

Jill’s commitment and dedication to Ngala has been inspirational.

It was Jill Curnow who initially suggested that Ngala should reach out to businesses and corporates to seek sponsorship for the valuable work being done by the professional staff at Ngala. Her initiative has resulted in a number of sponsorships enabling Ngala programs to be funded right around the state. More and more corporates are now willing to fund specific Ngala programs that improve the lives of families and children.

Over the years, Jill has worked tirelessly on all of our fundraising functions, finding sponsors, prizes and supporters to attend. Jill’s personal generosity to these functions has been beyond the ordinary.

Jill’s enthusiasm, support and involvement has been exceptional and she will be sadly missed.

We hope that Jill will now have more time for her own family, especially her beautiful grandchildren.

Thank you for your wonderful involvement, Jill. The Friends of Ngala will miss your wise counsel and your support. You have helped to enrich the lives of many families and children.

Your legacy and generosity of spirit will continue to inspire us. Thank you.

Hon. Barbara Scott OAM
