Have some fun and make a difference

Fundraising in the workplace (or through your community group) isn’t just easy – it’s fun, too!

By hosting an event for Ngala, you can make a world of difference for WA children, families and communities.

Every dollar and every cent counts.

Here’s a simple checklist to help make your event a great success.

1. Brainstorm your event

Get the team together and throw some ideas out there. Your event could be as simple as:

  • A casual day
  • An office bake-off
  • An after work movie
  • A workplace competition

Jot down some thoughts to get the ball rolling.

Now that you have some ideas, it’s time to…

2. Pick a day, time and goal

What’s the best day and time to host your event?

Consider your part time and casual staff.

Once you have a feel for the best day and time, think about how much your team personally wants to raise.

Having a goal makes it easier to plan out what you will need – and gives you a big reason to celebrate at the end!

3. Get in contact

Ngala’s friendly team can give you some simple materials to make your event a success.

Just give us a call to talk through your ideas, and we’ll find the promotional items to match.

Whether it’s a poster, Intranet post or a talk about what we do, we can talk through your needs.

4. Host your event

Make sure to take pictures! We’d love to see how it all goes.

5. Deposit your funds

Australia has a few rules about hosting fundraisers – to avoid getting caught out, visit our Fundraise for Ngala page, or just call Ngala to talk through it.

6. Claim your certificate

We’ll make up a special little pack to say thank you. This includes a personalised certificate for your team.
