Join a two-day workshop and get a practise tool that changes lives.

You can create better outcomes for Aboriginal children.

Do you work with Aboriginal families in WA – or are you planning to start?

Ngala’s Growing Strong Brains Toolkit is your portable yarning tool about pregnancy, early brain development, and growing up strong, healthy kids. It supports better outcomes for the families you work with.

Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) data shows that Aboriginal children in Western Australia are twice as likely to be developmentally vulnerable than non-Indigenous children. Research by Telethon Kids Institute (TKI) indicates nine out of ten reported cases of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) in WA in the last 30 years were Aboriginal children.

The Growing Strong Brains toolkit

The GSB toolkit recognises the strength, resilience and capacity of Aboriginal families. Ngala’s two-day workshop will share with you the science behind the toolkit, now changing lives and guiding yarns in the Goldfields. You’ll gain the skills and knowledge to use the toolkit how, where and when it works best for your organisation, community and clients.

“…It is easier to talk alcohol and FASD with the girls and Mums. It has opened their eyes. The pregnant Mums said they have not been drinking since that talk.”

– Aboriginal Youth Worker
