Last week saw the commencement of 16 Days in WA – a campaign committed to changing culture, behaviour, and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children. The theme for this year, “Stopping Family and Domestic Violence: Play your part”, is a powerful message that reminds us that we all have a role to play in creating safe, supportive communities.
To coincide with this, we are proud to share that we welcomed our first clients to our new early intervention program – Thriving Families. Thriving Families, supported by the Department of Health, is free service navigation program that helps at-risk or vulnerable parents and children access supports they would not otherwise be able to access due to financial and referral pathway barriers.
By providing resources and guidance at the earliest stages, we can help families build safe, healthy, and respectful relationships.
