Finding the supportive answers to your parenting questions can sometimes be challenging. Although internet search engines can be an easy solution to the answers you need, navigating the information search can be overwhelming and identifying information relevant for your family’s needs can be confusing. When you add the well-meaning advice of friends and family, you may find yourself needing more clarity and direction to help you along the journey of parenting.
A Ngala Consultation can set you on the right path. A Consultation session responds to your parenting questions and concerns, as well as provides emotional support, practical strategies and useful resources. Common topics of consultation are behaviour, sleep, meal times and toileting, but we discuss all things parenting.
A Consultation is an individual session for parents with a skilled and experienced Ngala staff member. Consultations can focus on children of any age, including newborns and before baby is born.
Most Consultations are face-to-face at a Ngala location.
Consultations are 90 minutes.
A longer Consultation allows us to explore your needs in more detail and work through suggestions and parenting strategies.
It’s challenging to leave the house at the moment. Do you offer phone consultations?

“As a first time mum to be, the services and support offered by Ngala have been invaluable. I had a consultation with Carol, who took the time to sit and speak with me about not only birth but those initial weeks when we bring our baby home. It enabled me to air some of my anxieties and fears about how I will make the adjustment to motherhood. She took the time to understand my journey to this point, while providing me with resources showing I was not alone. The time that Carol spent with me in the consult was incredible, she was extremely approachable and easy to talk with.
Knowing that when we have transitioned from pregnancy to parenthood there are people just a phone call away to answer questions on the Parenting Line, and the many other services offered by Ngala, helps you realise you aren’t alone in this journey,” Alex Humphreys.
