Lactation Consultations

Whether you are breast feeding or bottle feeding, our IBCLC certified Lactation Consultants can support you through any feeding challenges, including:

• Positioning and attachment issues
• Strategies for managing sore nipples, blocked ducts, mastitis, or thrush
• Expressing and storing breast milk
• Delayed lactation/low supply or over supply
• Tongue tie – suck assessment, referral, baby friendly pre and post support of tongue tie release
• Feeding twins, triplets, or premature babies
• Assessment of oral function/dysfunction
• Weaning and re-lactation support
• Introducing solids and complementary feeding

There are many ways you can access our support.

We offer one-on-one consultations from our Kensington Clinic, or via telehealth. Our lactation consultants in Perth will work with you to discuss your challenges, set goals, and then develop a realistic and practical strategy that will work for you. Afterwards we always schedule a follow-up session via telephone to make any amendments you might need.

All appointments can be made as an inpatient or an outpatient.

Costs and bookings.

Consultations cost $170, which includes your 1 hour consultation, plus follow-up session.

Our Bookings Office will contact you prior to your appointment to confirm and process payment. We kindly ask you to please contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment or no longer require the service. Please note cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment will incur a cancellation fee of $50.
