This 6 week series focuses on supporting parents/ carers in the importance of wellbeing, managing parenting difficulties, and developing art skills.

You’re Going to be a Dad Online

This online information session is an opportunity to join other expectant dads to explore how your baby will develop and their needs in the early days. Receive useful tips on adjusting to parenthood, supporting your partner and giving your baby the best possible start.

Now You’re a Dad

This 3-week program for new dads (and father figures) will discuss the important role of fathers and provide strategies and tips to support your child’s development. All sessions will be facilitated by a DadsWA fathering worker and a Ngala Child Health Nurse. This is a great chance to increase your parenting skills and talk with other dads.

Cyber Safety Online

This online Cyber Safety session, is designed to equip parents to empower children and young people to have safe positive experiences whilst helping them to manage the risks.

No Scaredy Cats Online

While some feelings of anxiety can be a normal part of a child’s development, an increasing number of children experience higher levels of anxiety that can impact their day-to-day life. This online 3-week program provides parents with a greater understanding of some of the reasons why children experience heightened anxiety and the role they can play in preventing future issues and discusses a range of practical steps parents can take to help build resilience in their children.

Anxiety Coach

Play and Chat 0-4 years

Play and Chat fortnightly sessions positively facilitate children and parents connecting through play. Each session provides an opportunity to interact with your child while enjoying age-appropriate activities, socialising with other families, and being supported by a Ngala Child Health Nurse.

Drama Stars 6-10 years

Join Cheryl at Drama Stars for Inclusive, self-development drama and creative play classes filled with interactive and creative experiences which encourage children and their families to connect with themselves, each other and the world around them.

Protective Behaviours Online

This Online Protective Behaviours information session advises parents/carers how to promote the safety and wellbeing of all children by providing tools, strategies and resources to reinforce the key themes and concepts. The session is designed to open the doorway to discussion and break down societal norms that can inhibit disclosures.
